i want to upload some pics but SOMEBODY is lazy...hello! just coz you don't update your journal doesn't mean i can't update mine! but i guess it's her camera and her technology, but i hope claire takes the hint. at least she's gone as far as reading "the velveteen rabbit" online, and chanced upon a couple of rabbit stories at booksale and books for less. read them on the spot. that's okay, we don't really need new rabbit books to clutter the bookshelf, as long as she doesn't remain "unbunny cultured". there's this book on the shelf that i must add to her reading list: the doll people by ann m. martin & laura godwin.

i guess i have to be a bit more patient with her. she's adjusting to yet a new sked. she's got this health problem related to her size. her blood test results are deadly. she got checked into cardio rehab for a monitored exercise program so that she could prevent any bad shit from happening to her. being one of the vegans in this house, i eat grapefruit with her just so that she wouldn't have to feel bad about passing on chocolate bars and other yummy sugary sweets. one night she came home with a headache and started to get cranky. paolo made this joke about her being what she eats - without sugar, she is definitely not sweet. awwww.

she can eat anything so long as it's not too decadent and fattening and loaded with sugar. i've been designated as exercise partner, so i rock out with her on days when she's not at rehab. she needs a kick in the butt. but i guess she's feeling a bit down, and now that the days and nights are getting cold, she's feeling a bit under the weather.

lynda barry rocks! she's got this cool publisher: sasquash books. sasquash! sasquash! SASQUASH! my favorite word.

stupid rabbit stereotype #2192084093471093

that all rabbits have 2 front teeth. i happen to have straight teeth! perfectly alligned, i must say!

been persuading claire to look for a copy of watership down. her only exposure to pop rabbit culture is bugs bunny and one crazy summer. at least bugs bunny wore a skirt and pretended to be a girl bunny, but one crazy summer viewed bunnies as cute furry little things that ruin the human social order of things (i.e. not getting a girlfriend...oh, boohoo to you, hoops mccann! you suck! your cartoons suck!). that is so wrong! savage steve holland is a specie-ist! well, what more can you expect from someone who directs lizzie mcguire anyway...lizzie mcguire sucks!

Just like the others, I don't like being called a toy. But even those issues resurface when I turn gray and dusty and Claire has to give me a bath. She's scared of letting me "go for a spin" for fear that my eyes will pop out. I retain a lot of water during baths. I guess it's nearly impossible for her to acheive the same kind of whiteness I had when I moved in. It took forever for me to dry in the bathroom. The cleaning lady saw me and took me out to give me a scrub. She used better soap. What I didn't like was being hung by the paws. But at least I got to look at the sky. There's only so much cloud formation and connect-the-dots you can do, I was itching for band practice. I called out to my bandmate Arsi from the window outside of the pink room and told him to bring it on. Couldn't play powerchords (obviously! duh!) so I shouted to the sky (we're a spazzcore band). Most of all, I was worried about falling down to the ground, and the likelihood of Siops and Chigs (Claire's ferocious dogs) discovering me and ripping me to shreds. They never got over teething, y'know.

Another thing is, I don't feel physical pain, so the clothespins didn't hurt one bit. But I do get emotionally distraught, especially when I think of the other bunnies I left behind. Have lost touch with them, but it's not inconceivable that they're on Animalster.

I think I'll try answering that meme a_bipolar_bear started.

I've stayed in three rooms since Claire's mommy found a new home for me. The first one was upstairs. It was cozy, but hot most of the time. Claire was quite the packrat. Her workspace was filled with books and glass trays with ping pong balls. The heartshaped glass tray was pretty...useless, that is. But ping pong balls? Claire hasn't played ping pong in years, but couldn't bear to throw away the ping pong balls. So she did everything on her bed - read, type on her laptop, etc.

Then over a year later, we moved to the studio. It's weird how she managed to squeeze all her stuff in one room. This studio had 2 floors, and she couldn't get everything to fit. The space by the sink had all the stuff she'd moved in but never arranged. Then it started to pile with more stuff. Of course, I stayed on the bed with the other kids - Psyduck, Mochi, G M & O (the ironic peas in the pod). Ooga Booga moved downstairs when he was fed up with being alone. Gorio the Gorilla and Fair Trade Bear hung out by the stereo. Doogie (our ex-narcoleptic dugong) and Arsi the Tarsier came to live with us later. Then when Arsi read more about his kind, he started to have space issues.

I live in the pink room now. It's very spacious and almost clutter-free. There are books here and there, but Claire usually makes sure that her books don't crowd us. The bedsheets are pretty now, and she managed to pick awesome functional furniture. She doesn't have to type on the bed anymore - she has a desk with a computer and printer, and two lovely artsy farsty posters she can gaze up at just to keep feeling inspired. She has a knack for decorating and does a better job at mixing and matching. Unlike in the studio, which was an eternal "work-in-progress" that had uncompromising white walls and blah furniture that she couldn't seem to work around.

I stay on the love seat with Dog Halford. It's very comfy, even Claire's dad loves sitting here and watching TV. We haven't gotten around to talking yet. He doesn't quite know how to act around animals, even if Claire has told him about us.
